What makes us beautiful?

I recently read an article on providing beauty treatments on cancer patients which I thought was a lovely idea but also made me want to put a point across about beauty itself. A lot of people's view is that it's not on the outside, but what's on the inside that counts; a view to which I agree with to a certain extent, but performing treatments on people that have cancer shows that looking good on the outside can be important, it boosts confidence - something which a lot of people lose when they lose their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes as well as helping their positivity which can hopefully lead to recovery.

Even if we can make them feel good about themselves even just for one moment, by something so simple such as penciling an eyebrow or a bit of blusher on their cheeks, it can hopefully make cancer patients feel good on the outside to help them feel good on the inside too.

Look Good Feel Better are an amazing charity putting this into action so I hope all beauty therapists get on board to help in some way - www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk for more details.
